ABOUT MACKTHEGREAT

My real name is Ryan Mackenzie, but online I go by MackTheGreat—a name humble enough to let everyone know I clearly have no ego whatsoever.

I was born in North York, Ontario, Canada, and I’m from Stratford, Ontario, a city famous for Shakespeare, theatre, and now apparently some idiot yelling at Counter-Strike from his computer.

I’m a gamer, comedian, musician, and computer tech, which is basically a fancy way of saying I’ve found several different excuses to spend an unreasonable amount of time around computers.

Gaming has been part of my life forever. I come from the old-school PC gaming days when you actually had to find servers, remember passwords, download maps from some questionable website, and occasionally spend three hours fixing your computer just so you could play for twenty minutes.

Counter-Strike has always been a big one for me. I’ve been around the game for years, and somehow I’m still playing it despite Counter-Strike repeatedly giving me very good reasons to reconsider my hobbies.

Outside gaming, I make music, work with computers, create content, and generally mess around with anything that gives me an excuse to be creative. I like making people laugh, especially when something wasn’t originally supposed to be funny.

That’s basically the idea behind MackTheGreat.

This isn't supposed to be some inspirational story about a guy who woke up at 4:00 AM, took an ice bath, read twelve business books and became a millionaire before breakfast.

Absolutely none of that happened.

I’m just a Canadian guy with a computer, a sense of humor, a bunch of ideas, and the questionable belief that putting all of those things on the internet is a good idea.

I’m here to play games, make videos, make music, talk shit, make people laugh, build cool things, and see how far I can take this.

Will MackTheGreat eventually become a massive internet empire?

Probably.

Will I occasionally have absolutely no idea what I’m doing?

Also probably.

Either way, I’m going to have some fun trying to make a name for myself in this big SHITTY ASS WORLD WE LIVE IN! :D
